‘180° Rule’ to be showcased at Valladolid Int’l Film Festival

Iranian film ‘180° Rule’ is to vie at the Valladolid Int'l Film Festival (Seminci) in Spain.

Iranian film ‘180° Rule’ has entered the competition program of the 65th edition of the Valladolid International Film Festival (Seminci) in Spain.  

Produced by Ali Mosaffa and directed by Farnoush Samadi, ‘180° Rule’ AKA '180 Degree Rule' depicts the story of a female teacher. She intends to go to a wedding ceremony but her husband does not allow her. When her husband forbids the trip, she makes a decision that may have grave consequences for her.  

Samadi’s feature directorial debut recently participated in the Discovery section of the 45th Toronto Int’l Film Festival (TIFF) and has been picked as the best film of the TIFF by the Seventh Row, a Canadian not-for-profit publication.    

The cast includes names such as Sahar Dolatshahi, Pejman Jamshidi, Hassan Pourshirazi and Azita Hajian.

'180 Degree Rule' was also screened at the 64th edition of the BFI London Film Festival in the UK.

Iranian feature ‘The Wasteland’ will also present Iran at the Valladolid filmfest.

Founded in 1956, the Valladolid International Film Festival is one of the oldest and most consolidated in the Europe

The festival will be held on October 24-31, 2020.
